We are looking for a PhD candidate to join the SPICES research team. SPICES is the acronym of ‘Scaling-up Packages of Interventions for Cardiovascular disease prevention in selected sites in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa: an implementation research project’ and is a EU Horizon 2020 funded project. The project is coordinated by the Department of Primary and Interdisciplinary care (ELIZA) in collaboration with the Department of Epidemiology and Social Medicine (ES0C) and the Global Health Institute.

By 2030, it has been estimated that cardiovascular disease will be responsible for more deaths than all infectious, nutritional, maternal and perinatal diseases in developing countries put together. And yet it is preventable.
