Project description:
The project will use in vitro and in vivo disease models including gene silencing in human ?-cells, transgenic mice, iPSC-derived ?-cells from control individuals, monogenic diabetes patients and CRISPR/Cas 9-mediated isogenic controls, as well as humanized mouse models to study the molecular mechanisms underlying pancreatic ?-cell demise caused by endoplasmic reticulum stress and altered .

Profile
  • PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, and/or metabolism
  • .g. qPCR, CRISPR/Cas9), immunohistochemical and biochemical techniques is essential
  • Experience with iPSC culture and differentiation will be advantageous
  • Experience in RNA biology will be advantageous
  • Experience in mouse handling and experimentation will be advantageous
  • The candidate should have a very good track record of research and be capable to work independently and in a team framework
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required
  • Very good skills in spoken and written English - High motivation, flexibility as well as innovate and creative thinking are a must Interested
