On 14 December the GVSALM handed out its second Ghent Monument Prize. Ghent University was awarded for the restoration of the Plateau-Rozier and the Book Tower.
The Ghent Society for City, Archeology, Landscape and Monument (GVSALM) awards successful renovations, restorations, renovations or the redesign of a historic garden, park or square every three years.
Ghent University and in particular the Department of Infrastructure and Facility Management received some nice awards. The restoration of Jozef Plateaustraat 22 and more specifically the third and fourth phase of the façade renovation and the last phase of the library of the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy saw two prizes. The outdoor restoration of the Book Tower also won a prize.
