Description

  • Participate in the project "Poverty and social security in time of crisis - lessons (to be) learned during the covid19 pandemic". The project is part of the National Research Program "Covid-19 in Society" (NRP 80). It will last three years and will be carried out by an interdisciplinary team.
  • Work with large data sets, process linked administrative data and perform statistical analyses
  • Create data visualizations
  • Write scientific articles
  • As part of your project work, you will be pursuing a doctorate at a Swiss university. Supervision opportunities are available.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (final grade of at least 5.0) in social sciences (sociology, economics or political science)
  • Interest in social and socio-political issues
  • Motivation to contribute to the improvement of the social security system for socially disadvantaged people
  • Good knowledge of data preparation and analysis with R (tidyverse)
  • Good to very good knowledge of German and English
