In order to complete our team, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Institute of Psychology (IP) wishes to expand its team by recruting a :

TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR AT ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY

Description

In your functions, you will have to :

Teaching (45%)

Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year at Bachelor’s (BA) and Master’s (MSc) level and supervision of Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.

Research (45%)

The post-holder will pursue their own research in school psychology. They will be expected to produce international-level research publications. The post-holder will be an active member of the

Institute of Psychology (IP) and will participate in the academic activities of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in the field of psychology.

They will also seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Administrative responsibilities (10%)

In accordance with statutory requirements and in the name of collegiality, the post-holder will take on any administrative tasks that may be assigned to them by the Institute, Faculty, University or university decision-making bodies.

Requirements

In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :

  • PhD in psychology or equivalent qualification;
  • Academic teaching experience;
  • Expertise in school psychology;
  • Proven research record in psychology in school psychology, child and adolescent psychology
  • Ability to attract external funding;
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with key players in the school system;
  • Excellent links with international academic networks;
  • Proficiency in French and English, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to teach in French within two years of hiring.
