This research project aims to develop a new advanced, state-of-the-art methodology for molecular epidemiologists in modelling malaria transmission. More specifically, we focus on estimating the influence of human mobility on the malaria burden in areas with residual malaria. Using innovative molecular tools and metapopulation dynamics modelling from field data, we aim at gaining insights relevant to the development of malaria elimination strategies.
