The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Institute of Psychology (IP) wishes to expand its team by recruiting a

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TENURE TRACK)
OR
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
IN EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY

Description

In your functions, you will have to :

Teaching (45%)
Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year in French, at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Additionally supervision of Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.

Research (45%)
The post-holder will pursue their own research programme in affective, motivational or cognitive psychology.

They will be expected to produce high-quality publications in international journals.

The post-holder will be an active member of the Institute of Psychology (IP) and will participate in the academic activities of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
They will seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Administrative responsibilities (10%)
In accordance with statutory requirements and in the name of collegiality, the post-holder will take on any administrative tasks that may be assigned to them by the Institute, Faculty, University or university decision-making bodies.

Requirements

In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
  • PhD in psychology or equivalent qualification;
  • Academic teaching experience;
  • Proven research record in the field of affective, emotional or cognitive sciences;
  • Expertise in psychological research methodology, particularly quantitative experimental methods;
  • Good international networks;
  • Language proficiency in French and English.
