PhD Candidate position in Immunology (100%)

The Christine Kühne Center for Allergy Research and Education (CK-CARE) research consortium located at the Medicine Campus Davos, Switzerland, is seeking a highly motivated graduate student (PhD) in the research group of PD. Dr. Pierre-Yves Mantel to study the immune response in atopic dermatitis and allergy. More specifically we are interested in investigating the role of extracellular vesicles as biomarkers and immune regulators. The candidate will apply a variety of cellular and molecular approaches and integrate clinical data to advance the understanding and drive new treatments of atopic dermatitis. The PhD candidate will receive training, supervision and support in all the aspects of the project and will have the opportunity to present research results in meetings, conferences and journals. Requirements

Your profile

  • You hold an academic degree in natural sciences (MSc or equivalent) acceptable for matriculation as a PhD student at a Swiss University
  • You are highly interested and self-motivated to perform research with a strong translational aspect
  • You are interested in acquiring skills in molecular and cellular biology
  • You are experienced / interested in data analysis using R and/or Python programming and standard software packages
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and you are a great team player
  • Fluency in English – written and oral is expected.
