In order to complete our team, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences opens the position of

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN SOCIAL SCIENCES OF SPORT AND ADAPTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Description

In your functions, you will have to :

Teaching (45%)

Six hours a week of teaching throughout the year, at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Additionally supervision of Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.

Research (45%)

The post-holder will pursue research in the social sciences of sport and adapted physical activity. They will be expected to produce international-level academic research publications.

The post-holder will be expected to take responsibility for the Adapted Physical Activities (APA) orientation of the Master’s in Human Movement and Sport Sciences. They must support collaboration with public and private institutions connected to adapted physical activities.

They will also seek external funding, in particular from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Administrative responsibilities (10%)

In accordance with statutory requirements and in the name of collegiality, the post-holder will take on any administrative tasks that may be assigned to them by the Institute, Faculty, University or university decision-making bodies.

Requirements

In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :

  • Doctorate in social sciences, sports science or equivalent qualification
  • Academic teaching experience in the social sciences of sport and adapted physical activity.
  • Proven record of very high-level research in the social sciences of sport and adapted physical activity.
  • Good links with international research networks in the field
  • Proficiency in French and English, orally and in writing.
