DescriptionFields of Expertise - Mobility and Production
Environmental stress and scarcity of raw materials necessitate a fundamental rethinking also in mobility and production. Researchers in the Field of Expertise (FoE) Mobility & Production – one of the five research focus areas of Graz University of Technology – focus on this complex area. They investigate novel mobility systems, vehicle technologies and propulsion systems in the same way as information and data transmission for traffic control and object positioning. The scientific community within this FoE develops more economical and time-saving manufacturing processes that allow innovative design changes, utilize the advantages of new materials and drives manufacturing towards a new level of precision work. All these research results deliver ground breaking solutions for the today’s challenges in the terrestrial, sea and air traffic, production engineering and its management principles. For this position, we are seeking a highly qualified and scientifically excellent person who has committed her/his/their specialization in one of the following fields of electrical and information engineering:
Based on the research and teaching focus, the candidate will be assigned to a matching institute and faculty that participate in this Field of Expertise. | |

The advertised position is a tenure-track career position. (pursuant to § 99 para. 5 of the Universities Act) After the conclusion of a qualification agreement, the job holder is appointed as an Assistant Professor. After a positive evaluation of the qualification agreement, the position will be turned into a position as Associate Professor. The position will be paid according to category B1 of the collective agreement for employees of Austrian universities, stipulating an initial gross salary of EUR 5,251.10 (14 x per year).
