Continuo, the Alumni and Staff Orchestra of Ghent University, this winter responds to the fascinating relationship between music and science. On 26 and 27 January you can go to Het Pand for an original program with composing scientists. Music and science go hand in hand. Continuo proves it not only by the considerable number of scientifically oriented alumni in the orchestra. It also brings works by various composers who did science. The program includes, among other things, the 'unanswered question' of Charles Ives, the well-known suite of 'Prince Igor' by composer-chemist Borodin and a look at the city of the future by Antheil, co-inventor of frequency hopping as well world famous as the 'bad boy of music' that dragged aircraft propellers onto the stage. Music and Science takes place at Het Pand (Onderbergen 1, 9000 Gent) Saturday 26 January 2019 at 20:00 Sunday 27 January at 15:00 - More info and tickets
