ERC Consolidator Grant for Professor Wendy Lowen
Inleiding: Professor Wendy Lowen obtained the ERC Consolidator Grant with the project 'Foundations for Higher and Curved Non-commutative Algebraic Geometry'. After having obtained an ERC Starting Grant with the project "Hochschild Cohomology, Non-commutative Deformations and Mirror Symmetry", (HHNcdMir) in 2010, now, in 2018 Professor Wendy Lowen obtained the ERC Consolidator Grant with the project "Foundations for Higher and Curved Non-commutative Algebraic Geometry", (FHiCuNCAG). This project will run from 2019 to 2024. Set up in 2007 by the European Union, the European Research Council (ERC) is the first pan-European funding body designed to support investigator-driven frontier research and to stimulate scientific excellence across Europe. Through long-term grants, it supports the best and most creative scientists of any nationality and age to identify and explore new directions in any field of research - Physical Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities. The ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants support individual researchers that are starting or consolidating their own independent research team or programme and who can demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal.
