Vandenhole lectures in LimaOn 11 September 2020, Wouter Vandenhole of the Law and Development Research Group lectured on Growth Agnosticism, Human Rights and Social Inequality in a webinar at PUCP. He argued that planetary boundaries necessitate growth agnosticism, but not at the expense of socio-economic rights. Prosperous agrowth is needed. This puts distribution at the heart of the debate. Human rights law may have a role to play in distribution, provided it reinvents itself to become more transformative in nature.
There is longstanding close cooperation between the PUCP in Lima and the Law and Development Research Group, in particular through student and teacher mobility.
