Join Levensloop and help us save lives!

On 27 and 28 April the third edition of Levensloop will take place at the Blaarmeersen. A Ghent University team also participates in this initiative of the Foundation against Cancer. Come and join us!

With the Levensloop (’Run for Life’) the Foundation against Cancer wants to support cancer patients and raise money for cancer research. For 24 hours, teams run a relay around the circuit. Every team has at least one person on the track. Levensloop is not a competition. Participating teams sponsor themselves and thus raise funds.

Team Ghent University

Ghent University is happy to contribute to this initiative. Team Ghent University has decided to raise at least 10.000 euro. For that we can use a lot of helping hands and especially... legs! The rector has already confirmed his participation.

Apples against cancer

Ghent University will not only participate with a team this year, but also wants to collect additional funds with an apple sale. The income is added to the amount that the Ghent University Team collects and transfers to the Foundation against Cancer.

From 25 February, apples can be bought in the rest of Campus Coupure. An exclusive and reusable bag, filled with 5 apples, can be bought for 5 euro.

You can also order apples by sending an e-mail to Hilde Dewulf , after which you pick up the apples at Campus Coupure. From 10 packages, delivery is provided!

Do you want to sell apples yourself at a different location? That’s possible! You then determine the location and the time at which you do the sale yourself. Please agree with Hilde at least one week in advance, so that the order and delivery can take place in time.

Do you want to set up an action to raise money? Or join ’Team UGent’ to walk or run a few laps during Levensloop 2019? Let us know! You can register via the Team UGent page. For more information, please contact hilde.dewulf [at] ugent (p) be  and lena.decock [at] ugent (p) be.
