Importance of training in cybersecurity
A Master in cybersecurity is an excellent pathway into this booming industry. With cyber-attacks occurring increasingly across all sectors, professionals with the skills to defend individuals, companies, and governments from such threats are in exceptionally high demand.Double degree in IoT or Software
The first two semesters of the degree programme take place at the Université de Bretagne Sud. The learners will focus on the fundamentals and learn how to apply an interdisciplinary approach to cybersecurity ; design and develop secure products and security architectures ; test the resistance of software products and embedded systems to the latest cyberthreats. For their third semester, learners choose between two specialisations: IoT cybersecurity at the Université Libre de Bruxelles or software cybersecurity at the University of Luxembourg. At the Université Libre de Bruxelles, they will focus on security of digital objects and equipment, as well as of network connections. At the University of Luxembourg, they will focus on security of applications, systems and programming.
During the fourth semester, students will realise an internship in the field of cybersecurity within a company or in a research lab.
At the end of their Master, students receive a double degree from the Université de Bretagne Sud and the Université Libre de Bruxelles or the University of Luxembourg depending on their specialisation. Beyond holding in their hands two Masters within 2 years, they will be equipped with knowledge from a heterogeneous panel of high expertise convened by several institutions across different European countries.
Very good career opportunities
