Prof. Guido Van Huylenbroeck has been recognized as a Fellow of the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE). He received this award following a nomination by the Belgian Association of Agricultural Economics (BVLE).
The EAAE Fellow Awards programme lauds his professional excellence in agricultural economics, his achievements in education on agricultural economics and rural development, and his outstanding contributions to the advancement of agricultural economics in Europe. He has pioneered academic research on multifunctional agriculture, institutional economics and alternative farm income models. At the international academic education level, he is recognized as the founder of the Erasmus Mundus International Master in Rural Development.
