The C²DH wins two Design Awards for its virtual exhibitions -Framing Luxembourg- and -Minett Stories. Remixing Industrial Pasts in the Digital Age-. Meanwhile, the production studio Explose won two Design Awards for the multimedia project A Colônia Luxemburguesa.
Framing Luxembourg. A storytelling experiment - which retraces the history of official statistics in Luxembourg, wins the prize for best -Data Design-. The virtual exhibition -is conceived as a timeline playfully disseminating the main statistics of some stepstones in national history. It is a joint project between the C²DH, STATEC and Paul Zahlen, the author of the related book. The exhibition was co-designed by Daniele Guido, the C²DH-s lead designer and full-stack developer specialising in data visualisation, network visualisation and digital methods.
The SILVER award in the category -Digital Design- goes to - Minett Stories. Remixing Industrial Pasts in the Digital Age - The virtual exhibition deals with the history and identity of Minett, the industrial region in the south of Luxembourg, in 21 chapters. It was developed in collaboration between the C²DH, the Milanese design studio Calibro and the software company Inmagik based in Bergamo.
Winner of both the category -Digital Design- and -Corporate Design- is the transmedia documentary - A Colônia Luxemburguesa - supported by the C²DH, Samsa Film, and the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel (CNA). The documentary by Dominique Santana explores a century of common industrial, cultural and social heritage We congratulate the agency -Explose-, responsible for the design of this project and winner of the Design Awards
