GUK: "Eclipse" in the Macharius church on 4 and 5áDecemberá
The Ghent University Choir explores the eclipse in all its phases, from beautiful light to deafening darkness and everything in between. Allow yourself to be carried away and listen to how the moon touches the sun, shadows it and finally releases it again. To mark its jubilee year, the Ghent University Harmony Orchestra takes you to a special anniversary year: 1969. GUSO: ’Troika’ on 5 and 6 December in the Miryzaal
The Ghent University Symphonic Orchestra is showing its sensitive side and this fall is performing a wonderful program that will charm the romantic in all of us. Led by conductor Steven Decraene, this enthusiastic group of music-making students brings you the mysterious "Night on the Bald Mountain" of Moussorgsky, Tjaikovsky’s compelling 4th symphony and his famous violin concerto, for which GUSO is joining forces with young talent, violinist Mona Verhas. In short, an enchanting journey with the Troika through Russian Romanticism!
