From March 23 to 26, take part in the Belgian Interuniversity Mapathon to map vulnerable areas around the world and help humanitarian organizations intervene more rapidly.
In areas affected by natural disasters, epidemics or conflicts, humanitarian organizations have a crucial need for accurate maps to intervene effectively.
For four days, several Belgian university towns will be hosting the sixth edition of the Belgian Interuniversity Mapathon. Participants will learn how to transform satellite images into detailed maps of roads and buildings, feeding the databases used by NGOs.
