VUB launches citizen survey on feelings of safety in Brussels

New app Moment charts in real time where, when and why people feel (un)safe on the streets. Brussels, 23 February 2026 - Researchers at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) are today launching the citizen survey Moment , an innovative study that uses an app to map the feeling of safety on the streets of Brussels.

ULB gets a new Data Center in Charleroi

On January 21, the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) inaugurated its new data center (DC) at A6K in Charleroi. The A6K technology center now houses the CECI-ULB supercomputer, specialized in scientific calculations based on artificial intelligence, as well as the Hyperion computing platform, which centralizes ULB research data, custom-designed computing environments and essential University environments such as its institutional website.
