On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the University honours the curiosity, talent, and creativity that women bring to sciences and higher education.

Women still represent only around 35% of STEM graduates and professionals worldwide. To improve gender equality and career development in science and higher education, the University has launched in recent a number of career development initiatives, dedicated funding schemes and awareness campaigns for girls and young women.
